Staff beyond shocking.First time I've visited. Only had a few items on my quick shop. Went to check out. Lady infront put a shopping divider between our shopping on conveyer, I thanked her before laying my shopping down. Guy serving (Indian/English) moved divider and instantly scanned my shopping as hers. She mentioned this wasnt her shopping and he became defensive at me saying I should have put a divider down (check the camera and you will see you moved it yourself)! When I said the lady infront put it down and I saw him move it, he said twice, he hadn't and huffed about having to take my shopping off her bill! REALLY?This took several minutes and a confrontation between them as he didnt believe she didnt have some items of mine in her bags - she offered for him to check her bags, he didnt decline, refuse or check her bags... simply ignored her, didn't look at her and took the items off.She asked again to check her order before paying and some of my scanned items were still on there.....he just argued and took NO responsibility when he was in the wrong! No apology to either of us for delay, or blaming us for the mistake that was HIS fault.Lady infront paid and again got NO, thank you or bye, he just started scanning my shopping, whilst she was still collecting her bags (fing RUDE)My turn.... An item of mine wouldn't scan. He refused to sell it to me, didn't ask for help, just said No you can't buy this as does not go through the till.I explained there were plenty on shelf, wasn't willing to help or assist. He swapped for a different sized item that would scan.I thanked him for swapping. After I paid I waited for a thank you, good bye or an apology for making you wait, blaming or being so blooming rude.... NOTHING this Lidl worker wasn't capable of customer serviceI left this place after st time and will NEVER return. I told him, his attitude stinks as i walked away.Shame on you for hiring a rotten employee Lidl. He should NEVER be in a customer faced job - not qualified for empathy, human interaction from what I saw and experiencedSo, if you want someone to put you in a bad mood Visit this store and get served by this guy.Terrible service- I can't quote on the shop, the price, quality etc as this was all I needed to shop anywhere BUT HEREI suppose you expect cheap you get CHEAP SERVICE

I usually shop at Aldi, but I’ve seen this Lidl whilst driving around and thought I would give it a try and do my weekly shop there. So, these are my first impressions and my views on this visit only. The car park is a good size, there is a charging point for electric cars too, which is definitely a bonus if you have an electric car! However, once I was inside I was very disappointed early on. The shelves are most definitely not stocked well, and the prices are almost always on the wrong places, and a lot of items don’t have prices on them a lot.The range of different hams and cheeses was good, but the range of meat was disappointing. I expected the prices to be similar to Aldi, but again I was shocked. They advertise their prices as low on their TV advertisements but the prices are so much higher than Aldi, and sometimes even triple the price of some (exactly identical) products.I didn’t buy everything I wanted or needed because it was either too expensive or not even there. I didn’t buy anything on the frozen section because there was little to no choice and freezer cabinets were completely empty. I will add a photo of this because I took a photo to show my family!Anyway, the total price was around £ more expensive, and I still went away needing to go to Aldi for a few things.I then got home with all my shopping, unloaded it, and the ‘cook in the bag’ chicken had leaked and the strawberries that I paid £. for about a third of them were mouldy something I didn’t notice in the shop otherwise I wouldn’t have bought them, but both these issues were also missed by the checkout staff too.In conclusion, I won’t be returning and I will stick to shopping at Aldi and be grateful they are closer to me than Lidl!

Update September .Looses a STAR, not enough staff manning the checkouts.Does not sell Pearl Barley.Update July Prices have gone up and seem less competitive. The loyalty scheme is now less rewarding.Update March Still good value supermarket. Check out could be quicker. Can be difficult turning right when leaving the car park.Disappointingly there is no self service check out.

Great shop, just off London Road, loads of parking. Always well stocked. Friendly staff. The price is unbeatable so I shop here all the time now. They also have an Inpost locker next to the store so that’s really handy.Highly recommend this store.I read another review on here complaining about self service, not sure what they are talking about as there’s no self service tills at this Lidl in Ditton.
